Overview

The Back-End Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. This role involves working closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality web applications. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Develop and Maintain Server-Side Logic: Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using Django. 

• Database Management: Design and optimize databases, ensure data integrity, and manage migrations. 

• API Development: Create and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality. 

• Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

• Security: Implement security and data protection measures. 

• Collaborate with Front-End Teams: Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. 

• Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and resolve issues and bugs. 

• Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in back-end development and Django. 

• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and any changes. 

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in back-end development, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Django. 

• Preferred Qualifications 

• Proficiency in Python and Django framework. 

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). 

• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and integration. 

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services. 

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). 

• Understanding of security best practices and data protection. 

• Soft Skills: 

• Strong problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

• Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Django REST Framework. 

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). 

• Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
