What this job involves: This role involves conducting planning and scheduling, reporting, and continuous improvement tasks for various technician and client stakeholders within a bio pharma company.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Execute work planning and scheduling function for a self-directed work team.
  • Provide logistical coordination with all stakeholders (i.e., MRO, janitorial, purchasing, customers, security, site management, maintenance crews, and vendor manager).
  • Actively visit job sites for work order clarification and planning.
  • Purchase/procure parts/supplies through MRO process.
  • Schedule work with technicians and sub-contractors, assign appropriate work orders electronically when scheduled, track and report on the completion of work.
  • Provide work order transparency with work order requesters.
  • Maintain intermediate to high computer skills necessary to access CMMS work order system.
  • Provide input to department for ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Communicate clearly, understand, and acknowledge verbal instructions, and be able to read and interpret work from drawings, written work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals. Estimate work-order completion times and compare to actual.
  • Coordinate and conduct scheduling meetings with maintenance teams.
  • Present performance data to maintenance teams as needed.
  • Provide a two-week look-ahead Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule to the team weekly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the maintenance program by collecting technician feedback and share with CMMS Specialist.
  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as requested.

Working Hours: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

  • Trade knowledge preferred (i.e., steam, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
  • Prior CMMS experience desired. Maximo experience strongly preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech research facilities experience is preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-10 years’ experience working as a maintenance planner/scheduler in a multi-trade environment.
  • Must have a detailed understanding of effective scheduling, estimating, and workflow processes in a maintenance environment.
  • Track, verify and maintain high team performance levels based on established metrics.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Demonstrated Planning & Prioritizing capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word, Project, MS Teams.
  • Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment and be able to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain professional and customer-oriented relationships with team members, internal customers, and building occupants.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and coordinate interface with other teams for various support requirements.
