Job Description:

A. Accountabilities

⮚ In line with Airbus company strategies, the job holder shall:
● Deploy regional strategy and governance to realize company business
objectives within a China context
● Formulate clear priorities and key success factors of the rollout of the
strategic roadmaps in the region, enabling regional contribution to the global
mid-to-long term objectives
● Maintain effective working relationships internally and externally, reporting to
HO of Public Affairs of Airbus China
● Map and engage with the critical external stakeholders, such as regulators,
government bodies, municipal governments etc
● Develop those external relationships into commercial ventures where
appropriate
● The job holder shall understand the context and methods of local public/
government affairs’ way of communication and operations and contribute key
narratives and strategy to be used

B. Main activities

⮚ Strategic activities
In line with Airbus company strategies, deploy regional strategy and
governance to realize company business objectives.


⮚ Client related activities
● Represent the official interface between Airbus and the authorities for related
topics.
● Oversee the Civil Aviation policies and activities in China, and deploy the
actions at country level in accordance with the strategy
● understand the local ecosystem and strengths of the development of civil
aviation industry with consolidated stakeholders’ intelligence data, market
needs and proposals
● Support and work with various functions to support business
● Identify relevant opportunities in consistence with Airbus strategy
● Set-up necessary project organization and governance (local-central)
● Build Data Rooms, run workshops and regular drum-beats, build business
cases, manage external consultants, with the support of cross-functional
teams
● Monitor and analyse regulatory requirements, external stakeholder
expectations and market trends on civil aviation market
● Implement effective collaboration, communication and achievement of
collective goals

⮚ Client related Outputs
● Stakeholder mapping in China
● Yearly stakeholder engagement plan

⮚ Operational Outputs
● Regional work plan in the ecosystem (advocacy, tech leadership)
● Business case analysis/ plan
● Monthly reports/ newsletter

D. Inputs

⮚ Experience:
● Bachelor degree or above (master degree preferred)
● 10 years’ working experience on public affairs, customer-interface,
project management (civil aviation industry preferred)
● Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex
business development projects/ scenarios
● Proven track record of creating significant impact in multinational
organizations
● Intercultural awareness to be able to operate in a cross border
environment – within the region and outside of the region
● Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically
● Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
● Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take calculated risks
● Ability to communicate in English during negotiations
