Department Overview

Evidence SW department in Motorola Solutions is the leading provider of digital in-car video recording systems and video evidence management software for law enforcement, having supplied in-car video systems and body-worn cameras along with evidence management software to approximately one-third of all law enforcement agencies in the United States and Canada.


Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer, a Problem Solver, to join our department and develop Video Manager EL , an evidence management software. 

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Influence and create new designs, software, architecture, and methods for deploying large-scale distributed systems both on-premise and cloud.

  • Explore and define gaps between current platform capabilities, and those needed for new features.

  • Work with various engineers and architects within the platforms and products teams to improve our adoption of industry best practices for cloud, on-premise, and IoT security.

  • Help define the pipeline and tools necessary to support Full Continuous Delivery.

  • Maintain a positive attitude throughout typical work-related challenges

  • Spend time on learning and growing your skills 

  • Mentor and support other team members


Basic Requirements

  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Software Development and a minimum of two years of experience in developing scalable, hosted web applications

  • Knowledge C# and .Net Core

  • Experience in building Windows applications

  • Knowledge of the Linux ecosystem is a plus.

  • Experience with hosting and developing applications using the public cloud (Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure)

  • Willingness to work on any problem type - development, testing, deployment automation

  • Practical verbal and written English skills

  • Effective team player with excellent communication skills.
