In this crucial role, you will be responsible for conducting monthly/quarterly reporting activities and meticulously preparing financial reports for senior management. Your efforts will directly contribute to the Financial Planning & Analysis in Finance and Accounting (F&A) department of our Global Shared Service Centers, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for strategic decision-making.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Prepare Financial reports for senior management.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare forecast instructions for APM Terminal entities, perform forecast controlling tasks in One Stream as per the global period end timetable. Templates maintenance and update, system technical controlling, input data controlling and following up, forecast sign off summary- and presentations.
  • Variance Analysis: Conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify key drivers impacting financial performance. Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to management based on variance trends.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving ability for trouble shooting.
  • Monthly reporting analysis: periodic actual vs target, QTD actual vs forecast, Periodic actual vs forecast.
  • Highlight and quantify risks and opportunities which will help focus their attention and drive appropriate actions aimed at improving KPI performance.
  • Reduce complexity and reduce waste in the current reporting landscape with APMT.
  • Identify automation, simplification, and standardization opportunities across the process.
  • Clearly understand business needs and development reporting requests.
  • Data gathering / management, analysis & reporting for APMT. Help convert raw data to usable and manageable information.
  • Submit timely and accurate deliverables. Manage issues, exhaust all possible fix and escalate to appropriate desks for resolutions of issues.
  • Provide independent and accurate business performance reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including the development of the structure, content and presentation.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the business to provide insight into current performance, provide early indications of deviation from target.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate financial insights to stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of financial performance. Collaborate with accounting, operations, and other departments to ensure correct interpretation with business insights. x

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • MBA (Finance) with 5-6 years of reporting and accounting experience.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (v-lookup, Pivots, Complex formulae) and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong foundation from prior experience with consolidation systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (English) – Fluent Oral & Written.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving ability for trouble shooting.
  • Prior experience in a captive unit.
  • Prior experience in HFM/ OneStream systems and ThinkCell tool will be an added advantage

Training/Special Skills Required:

  • Good understanding of the various Maersk Business Units.
  • Good understanding of APM Terminals.
  • Good understanding of process of financial consolidation.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI
  • Advanced Excel skills
