We are looking for You as Master Thesis Student (m/f/d) NVH Simulation in Herzogenaurach
These challenges await you:
Based on a literature review, identify which metrics of electromagnetic forces are considered most relevant for the NVH response of electric motors e.g. time harmonics, spatial harmonics, asymmetry, axial distribution etc.
Prepare a Finite Element model of an electric machine for the comparison of measured and simulated forces
Analyze the vibration response of the Finite-Element model based on the different sets of forces
Comparative analysis of the measured and simulated forces
Identify critical influence factors within the structural Finite-Element model
Show best-case correlation and identify possible missing influence factor
Qualifications:
Master student in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or computational engineering, physics, applied mathematics or equivalent
Good fundamental knowledge of structural mechanics
Basic skills in post-processing and scripting (e.g. Python, Matlab)
Experience with FEA simulation tools, preferably Ansys or Nastran beneficial
Good English reading and writing skills
