Job Description Summary

The Integrated Center of Clinical Excellence (ICCE) Administrator reports to the ICCE Chief. The ICCE Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operation of the ICCE and is directly involved in all day-to-day aspects of the business unit. This role partners with the ICCE Chief to lead and manage the ICCE integrated delivery team, inclusive of physicians, advance practice providers (APPs), business managers and other dedicated, ICCE-specific resources. This position maintains an aligned (dotted line) relationship with MUSC Health Perioperative and Operations leadership to ensure efficient and appropriate utilization of clinical delivery support functions. This role manages support service arrangements across functional areas and sets performance expectations for services not directly reporting to the ICCE. The ICCE Administrator works with the ICCE Chief and MUSC Health Chief Physician Executive (CPE) to establish ICCE business goals, and is held jointly accountable with the ICCE Chief for financial performance and achieving set targets.

Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: A master’s degree in hospital administration, healthcare administration, business administration, public health or a related graduate level degree with a minimum of ten years managerial experience in a leadership role is required; a minimum of five years managerial experience in a healthcare setting is strongly desired. Expertise in goal setting, budget management, performance improvement/quality and management of staff is needed. Substantial experience in a complex medical center environment is required; experience relevant to the ICCE is desirable. Expert financial and people management skills and a demonstrated history of excelling in leadership positions with an emphasis on program growth.
