The Salesforce Marketing Automation team is at the forefront of building out the next generation of our marketing automation platform on the Salesforce platform, delivering the Unified Profile on Salesforce Data Cloud for our go to market teams, and managing the marketing automation technology and operations. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced technical leader to head our engineering, platform operations, and project management efforts in Hyderabad. As a site-leader for our Hyderabad location, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented group of engineers, data, and operations experts required to build and run marketing automation technology at scale. In addition, you will be expected to partner closely with the Marketing Automation engineering, operations, and product/project management teams based in AMER to successfully deliver against business outcomes together.

Your Impact

• Hire, lead and mentor a team of engineer, data, and ops experts including managers to develop develop and manage marketing automation technology

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in AMER to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable marketing automation solutions.

• Partner with stakeholders in AMER to define and prioritize strategic initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives.

• Champion operational excellence within the team, implementing automation, processes and procedures to ensure reliable and efficient data loads and processing..

• Establish and maintain best practices for engineering processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and compliance regulations.   

• Act as a site leader, foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that empowers team members to excel and grow in their careers.

• Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership in AMER on the progress and performance of the engineering and operations functions.

• Drive the execution and delivery by collaborating with many multi-functional teams, architects, product owners and engineering managers

• Providing technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members

• Maintaining high morale and motivating the delivery and operations  team to go above and beyond

• Participating in multi-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams

Minimum Requirements

• A related technical degree required

• 12+ years of proven track record leading software engineering teams with a distinguished track record on technically fast paced projects

• Experience leading large scale distributed systems, working with microservices and/or distributed architecture

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills

• Ability to be flexible, proactive, comfortable working with minimal specifications

• Experience with short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and experience working on a product that’s been released for public consumption

• Experience in hiring, mentoring and leading engineers

• Working experience of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations

• Experience with Agile development methodologies. 

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

Preferred Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Salesforce product and platform features, capabilities, and best use of it

• Experience in Salesforce Data Cloud, Flows, and Marketing Cloud products

• Marketing domain experience

• A good understanding of enterprise architecture principles is strongly preferred

• Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts

• Serve as a trusted advisor, with a deep curiosity to understand your customers, their motivations and needs, and how to approach ensuring their success

• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
