Challenge your leadership skills at the head of an Aerospace product line that’s grown and innovated over a service history of 75+ years with a current delivery volume of 120,000 units per year, supporting customer installations spanning from general aviation aircraft to the Airbus A380 and nearly every platform in between. 

What You Will Do

  • Identify, Organize, and Lead Integrated Project Teams of various sizes in support of customer deliveries, yield improvement activities, new product/process introductions, supplier management, quality responses, field issues, proposals, and new platform offerings.

  • Exercise sound mechanical and electrical knowledge to understand operational and design challenges in order to offer practical guidance to the working team and effective technical communication to the customer base.

  • Assist in the development of strategic product roadmap and engineering budgets, owning the implementation of key strategic elements, and directing activities in alignment with overall Fire Protection Systems’ strategy.

  • Serve as the conduit between customer facing personnel and site operations, ensuring each is meeting the needs of the other.

  • Interpret opinions and positions of functional groups in order to form a global team position through healthy tension and team accountability in consideration of targeted business impact.

  • Use operational and leadership experience to drive improvement into a wide variety of support functions.

  • Regularly develop and voice personal opinions amidst a wide variety of audiences (i.e. technical teams, senior leadership, large groups)

  • Exhibit and embrace ultimate accountability for the performance of assigned responsibilities within the product line.

  • Skills required to succeed in a highly matrixed organization – effective communication, accountability through influence and structural expectations, project management, Sales/Inventory/Operations Planning

  • How to manage the complexity of high mix, high volume product line supported by 450+ employees across (2) separate sites.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Continuous Improvement experience with cost or quality or delivery or yield or capacity

Qualifications We Prefer

  • University degree in a technical field

  • SAP business system experience

  • Leadership of people and/or projects in the Aerospace Industry

  • Industry certifications such as CORE/Six Sigma/LEAN/Project Management/PE

  • Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capabilities

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
