Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Manager, Value Stream leader. Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Value Stream Leader. The L5 Value Stream Leader (VSL) is a strategic and tactical leader who leads the Integrated Project Team (IPT) with direct accountability for wheel and brake programs assigned to the Military Value Stream.  You will be responsible for overall program success throughout the life cycle as measured through terms and requirements of the contract, the business success as measured by key financial metrics, and the measures of customer satisfaction.

The Value Stream Leader serves as the face of the organization to external customers as well as internally within the Company and they lead successfully through influence. 

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Eligible for relocation.

What will you do:

  • Utilize Policy Deployment, Continuous Improvement and Collins Management System (CMS) processes, lead IPT for which you do not have direct reporting responsibility to drive execution to Company business plans and strategies for assigned programs, meet, or exceed contractual commitments and customer expectations.
  • Lead the negotiation of new and existing contracts, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests. 
  • Coordinate management and technical decisions, while effectively arbitrating and resolving problems associated with both new and existing products and projects.
  • Interpret, execute, and establish operating policies and processes and participate in establishing and administering many division-wide initiatives.
  • Serve as a customer advocate for product development, production support issues and repair and overhaul.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and Ethical Policies and with Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

  • 2+ years of project leader experience
  • 2+ years customer or supplier interface experience.
  • 2+ years of experience interfacing with senior leadership and all levels within the organization
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master’s degree
  • ERP/MRP software experience
  • Military aircraft program experience, military contracting experience, business development/strategy, program management or business management experience
  • Experience collaborating with a wide variety of functional areas inside and outside the organization to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Experience leading an Integrated Product Team within the construct of a matrix-reporting organization or similar function.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
