What You Will Do

  • Manage and inspire a team of talented engineers focused on supplier-designed equipment.

  • Foster a culture of high performance, professional growth, and effective collaboration within the team.

  • Oversee the design, development, and qualification of fuel systems, pneumatic valves, and solenoids.

  • Ensure projects meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and scheduled milestones.

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure high-quality design and manufacturing processes.

  • Foster strong partnerships with suppliers, resolving any technical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

  • Manage in-service parts on the Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) Engine family.

  • Oversee field investigations, ensuring timely and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and safety.

  • Ensure adherence to the highest standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time for supplier visits, field investigations, and other business needs.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

  • Demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams and overseeing projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business administration

  • Experience with supplier management and collaboration.

  • Strong knowledge of fuel systems, pneumatic valves, and solenoids.

  • Proficiency in advanced problem-solving methods and tools.

  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
