Job Description:

Position Title: Administration Officer level 4 – Anatomical Pathology

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Hours per week: 38 Hours

Position Grade: Administration Officer Level 4 ( Year 1 to 2)

Salary: $69, 840.79 - $71,439.54 base salary per annum

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic Administration team who work together to provide quality care to clients and patients of SydPath, Anatomical Pathology. We are recruiting for a passionate and committed Administration Officer to join our team. We are seeking those with the motivation to learn, develop and contribute to all areas of Anatomical Pathology administration service.

About you:

We welcome applications from people who have at least two years’ experience in Medical Typing using Dictaphone dictation and general administration with a willingness to learn and grow in this role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in an agile work environment. You will need to be organised, have a passion for supporting and being part of a great team culture and have a collaborative personality.

Selection Criteria:

1.    Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2.    Demonstrate high level of competency in medical typing and general administration skills.
3.    Demonstrate a high level of competency in computer skills including word, excel, power point, access and data entry.
4.    High level organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
5.    Strong customer service skills with a focused and responsive approach to managing enquiries whilst maintaining confidentiality.
6.    Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship management skills including the capacity to successfully relate to all of the Pathologists and staff as well as external stakeholders.
7.    Demonstrated evidence as an effective team player with a capacity to be flexible, motivated and an ability to follow defined protocols and procedures.

8. Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume and demanding environment with proven capacity to manage concurrent activities of a diverse nature.
