Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Applications Analyst for our EHR and other Healthcare systems. This role is pivotal in collaborating with various stakeholders, including end-users, clinicians, and technical teams, to deliver effective EHR solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and maintaining the EHR system, focusing on clinical workflows, orders, charge capture, and general urgent care applications. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, a deep understanding of clinical workflows, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with end-users, clinicians, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective EHR solutions.
  • Configure, implement, and maintain the EHR system, focusing on clinical workflows, orders, charge capture, and general urgent care applications.
  • Provide end-user support during system implementation, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to the EHR system and work towards timely resolution.
  • Participate in testing phases (unit testing, integration testing, etc.) for new applications and modules.
  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements.
  • Prepare documentation, including user manuals and training materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful EHR roll-out and adoption.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and updates related to Healthcare Technology.
  • This position requires excellent communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed of healthcare application capabilities, current state configuration of applications and future opportunities to leverage applications more robustly.
  • Facilitate effective and proactive business engagement through requirements definition, analysis, application support, quality assurance, issue resolution and ongoing training.
  • Maximize user adoption by ensuring users understand and utilize available services to the greatest extent possible to improve their daily workflow(s).
  • Provide project support to assigned healthcare application initiatives.
  • Serve as system administrator for all applications and services supporting Operations.
  • Partner with service providers of Healthcare technology to optimize our use of their applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an information technology field or clinical role is also required.
  • EHR Certifications and/or willingness to obtain certifications a PLUS
  • Experience with clinical applications such as Practice Management, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Patient Engagement, Telemedicine and other similar applications strongly preferred with preference given to backgrounds with: Major EMRs in the Urgent Care space such as Experity, Epic, Athena and Cerner (Oracle).
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
  • Hands on technical expertise in the development and/or architecture of systems utilizing current technologies.
  • History of being an active support participant in IT projects.
  • Experience interacting with IT to successfully launch initiatives preferred.
  • Excellent people skills, ability to work with many different types of people with different communication styles.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work autonomously.
  • Ability to articulate value-based solutions to complex business problems.
  • Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and team skills.

Salary: $87,000-118,000/year
