This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to [Warren, Michigan ] three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business
The Lead Quality Analyst will support the North America operations team in implementing processes to improve their Quality performance and work closely with other members of the Quality Systems and Assurance team, WSIO, and the operations teams to reduce the occurrence of Quality errors (claims and returns). This position will support plant personnel through training opportunities and coordinating with others to identify where noncompliance to BIQ requirements may exist within the Plants. The Lead Quality Analyst will assist the operations teams in closing existing noncompliance gaps and support the transformation and modernization of the quality reporting tools, claims and returns processing, and BIQ future process development. Lead a team of dealer liaisons that support the customers of their respective parts distribution centers.
Responsibilities:
Train new Quality Supervisors on data analytics using Tableau
Lead, train, and support Quality supervisors and Dealer Liaisons on claims processing and process compliance to defined task instructions
Coordinate input from internal and external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions
Manage Quality systems including Dealer Claims (IMS - DCL), PWB+ Claim and Return submissions and categorizing, Quality Communication Forms (QCFs), TSO edits for distribution of weekly lines files, GEMs II and Requests for Package Review
Display ability to lead a team including manage Quality Reporting (CQR, CSO3, RSCs, SPC charts, etc.) and Metric setting
Organize/plan annual GMNA Functional Workshops (e.g., Quality and Dealer Liaison)
Train new plant managers on Quality tools and systems
Provide BIQ related support, including on-site visits to assist with implementation of BIQ in the Plants
Support WSIO Team members, Plant managers, and Plant Quality Leads through BIQ training as applicable
Support and train Plant Quality Leads / supervisors on new and existing processes
Assist plant operations with issue resolution for unusual or complex Quality problems
Support GMS Formal Assessments as scheduled - acting as BIQ Assessor
Establish a course of action to accomplish completion of projects
Assist customers with escalated claims and returns issues
Provide back-up to Quality Systems and Assurance team members when applicable
This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidates
Additional Job Description
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a major in engineering/statistics/mathematics or equivalent training that supports logical and detailed data analysis preferred
High level of analytical ability where problems are complex
5 years within Warehousing/Quality , or Manufacturing
Tableau experience Required
People Leader experience preferred
Oral and written communication skills
Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals
Problem solving capabilities to analyze root cause and establish solutions for quality related issues.
Must be able to work cross functionally to define problems and resolve issues as they arise
Share direct and actionable feedback to assist in implementing solutions and process improvements
Knowledge of, and ability to effectively use, computer software for analysis of data
Knowledge of GMS Built-In-Quality Principle and its correlation with achieving Plant Quality performance is preferred
Travel 25% Domestically + Internationally
