About the Role
The Unaccredited General Surgical Registrar works alongside surgical consultants, subspecialty consultants and accredited surgical registrars in the care and management of surgical patients. These are non-accredited positions, and entail participation in the surgical registrar roster including nights and weekends.

  • Training in procedural work relevant to sub-specialty interest
  • Participation in-patient and out-patient activity relevant to sub-specialty interest
  • Participation in the after-hours Surgical roster
  • Participation in clinical meetings
  • Supervisory support of the interns and residents
  • Participation in weekly teaching


Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($125,900.84 - $173,290.00 per annum).

Duration of appointment: February 2025 – February 2026

Your Contribution

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Hold current AHPRA registration
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Hold a current, or willing to undergo a satisfactory National Police Check
  • Have a commitment to deliver the best in patient care and safety
  • Demonstrated experience applying medical knowledge towards sound clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients
  • Demonstrated effective communication with patients, relatives, staff and colleagues
