About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of our Mitchelton Facility.

We have permanent part-time and casual shift available weekdays and weekends.

Things that work for us:

  • Experience in an aged care facility or hospital environment providing services that support high quality food services outcomes for residents, customers and staff of the Facility

  • High level of customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • An ability to provide a catering and kitchen service that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation;

  • An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team;

  • An understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities;

  • Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities

  • Current flu and COVID-19 vaccination and National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months)

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
