Job Description:

Position Title: Assistant in Nursing (AIN)
Employment Type: Permanent Part - Time
Hours per week: 16 hours
Position Grade: Assistant in Nursing (Year 1 - 4)
Salary: $48,400 - $53,102.13 (pro rata for part time) base salary per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Department/Service. The Assistant in Nursing will support the service’s clients with personal care, transport, support rehabilitation goals and other activities as delegated by a Registered Nurse/Case Manager and within the AINs scope of practice.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Assistant in Nursing who possess a passion for person centered care. We welcome applications from people who are motivated to assist in the delivery of the following direct care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

    Selection Criteria:
    1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
    2. HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) or have completed one (1) or more year training of a Bachelor of Nursing degree

    3. Demonstrated ability to work independently, under delegation, and the ability to collaborate within a team.

    4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

    5. Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge.

    6. Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

    7. Demonstrated effective time management skills.

    8. Hold a Class C Driver’s license or above.
