Job Description:

Position Title: ECT Coordinator
Employment Type: Permanent- Part Time
Hours per week: 24 hours
Position Grade: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1
Salary: $123,031 - $125,546 (pro rata) base salary per annum TBC
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2017

About the role:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 provides expert clinical advice and consultancy to patients, carers and other health care professionals within both Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and Older People’s Mental Health (OPMH). The Clinical Nurse Consultant develops, facilitates implementation and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs. The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice and initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services. The Clinical Nurse Consultant contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs and participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service. The role will be required to be involved in and lead quality improvement projects across the mental health service, working in collaboration and conjunction with both the inpatient and community service at SVHS. In addition, the role will be leading how evidence is translated into practice and formulating reports, data and performance information for state level presentation

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic ECT Coordinator who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are Manager to include desired experience/attributes.

Selection Criteria:

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

3. Relevant post-registration qualifications with at least five years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification

4. Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team at a senior level and demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills

5. Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations

6. Demonstrated ability to assess and manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans

7. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice

8. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment
