Program Cost Management Analyst - GM Global Technical Center - Cole Engineering Center Tower

Job Description

Serve as a Finance partner to Operating Staff with timely and relevant reporting and analysis that drives the most informed business decisions. Provide analysis, insights and recommendations that drive profitability, mitigate risks and offer solutions to business problems. Assess and evaluate financial performance of supported business partner with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Support creation of yearly financial objectives that align with the business partner’s plan for growth and expansion. Prepare and may present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, and cash flow. Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures. Maintain outstanding relationships with business partners. Develop talent / optimize team performance through stretch assignments, leadership exposure, career discussions, feedback, etc. Lead by example displaying GM behaviors, commitment to personal development and dedication to building a positive Workplace of Choice culture. Assist team with understanding the bigger picture and how projects relates to operational strategy / Enterprise goals. Anticipate partner needs (proactive vs. reactive). Assist team in prioritization of workload, paint a picture to influence decision-making, facilitate collaboration across staffs, think through key analysis assumptions. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address.                                                                                                                                   

Additional Job Description

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, or Economics. Five years of experience in the job offered or in a related Finance or Cost Engineering field.  Must also have experience with: Product Development Process; experience with Product Costing; experience with Financial Forecasting/Budgeting; experience with Financial Modeling; experience with Period to Period Variance Analysis.
