We are actively sourcing an experienced Project Manager to join our Digital & Technology (D&T) Network Modernisation Project Team in St Vincent’s Health Australia. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will take a proactive approach to problems as you are responsible for managing all phases of projects assigned to you from project invest phase to project closure. You will manage stakeholders and output of the project by external vendors, contractors and employees within the D&T Team as well as managing the procurement process, delivery and vendor relationships.

This position is Fixed Term Full Time, available on a 6 month contract and is available in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Plan and manage the delivery of assigned projects in accordance with SVHA standard practices, processes, and templates for managing projects consistently and efficiently, to reduce project related risk and costs
  • In conjunction with the Portfolio Programme Delivery Manager, ensure that projects are carried out with the appropriate SVHA methodology and governance to help deliver successful projects on time
  • Maintain effective relationships and provide regular updates to the Project Executive and the business owners on assigned project progress
  • Engage, connect, and manage project stakeholders so that project(s) can benefit from synergies and economies of scale thus reducing implementation
  • Govern and lead Project Executive so that they are empowered in their decision making over project execution to ensure that cost-effective activities are supported and delivered
  • Ensure appropriate project reporting is collected and available to Divisional D&T Executive Committees
  • Deliver and maintain a detailed business case(s) to propose appropriate changes to projects and/or processes as well as develop project implementation plan(s)
  • Ensure project spend against scope is controlled and managed effectively

  • A solution driven individual with a solid understanding of Business Case preparation through to delivery of technical solutions
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated track record in applying Project Management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Ability to collaborate, guide and support on multiple priorities simultaneously and seamlessly while maintaining attention to detail in a high pressure environment
