The Mater hospital is seeking a compassionate and experience Registered Nurse (Casual - Part Time) to join our thriving Special Care Nursery team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional cate to premature and vulnerable babies ensuring they receive the best start in life.

ABOUT YOU:


Your skills will include:

  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA
  • Minimum 3 years neonatal experience.
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Neonatal Nursing or working toward
  • Awareness of NIDCAP/Developmental Care Model of Care
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to self-improvement, growth, and high-quality patient care
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills
  • Bubble CPAP competency desirable but not essential
  • It is expected that all casual staff work a minimum of 12-24 hours per fortnight to retain recency of practice within the unit.

ABOUT UNIT

14 bedded state of the art SCN. Private rooms (Nests) for our families allowing true individualised family-centered care. Care for infants from 32 weeks' gestation – managing those requiring respiratory support as well as accepting care of those infants born prematurely in tertiary referral hospitals across Sydney.
