• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider
• PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support Healthcare Provider
• RN-Registered Nurse of California
• Chemotherapy Certification required

EXPERIENCE

• PACU experience with recovering OR cases.
• 1-year PACU or Critical Care experience as an RN required in a similar acute care setting required.

• Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
• The ability to recognize potential hazards and follow appropriate precautions.
• The ability to understand and remember detailed instructions.
• Must be able to demonstrate communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate age-related competencies for neonate through geriatrics.
• Must demonstrate the ability to provide education on wound/skin care and to adapt teaching techniques to skill level/teaching method preference of patient or care giver/family member learner.
• Must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Basic computer skills, including PC and Windows applications.
• In depth knowledge of nursing process and performance improvement in depth knowledge of current wound care standards of practice
• This position requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications. Competency in central line management.
• Requires on-call to include overnight, weekends, and holidays. Response time is 30 minutes.
