JOB TITLE:

The Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate will be part of the High-Throughput Plasmid Production team carrying out routine scale up work to deliver high quality DNA products for High-Throughput In-vitro Transcription work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in-house HT-DNA production capabilities related to Sanofi’s vaccine programs

  • Must be able to adapt to the changing priorities in programs and deliver DNA material within the expected timeline.

  • Independently carry out PCR, restriction digestion, purification based on the existing protocol.

  • Willing to carry out routine cloning work as needed.

  • Independently design and execute experiments, optimize reaction conditions that are robust and scalable.

  • Independently document experiments, analyze data, write experiment reports, and present findings and conclusion in professional setting. Record lab work in Benchling routinely.

  • Must be able to follow sterile techniques and good lab practices.

  • Be a collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and able to follow verbal instructions clearly.

  • Ability to multi-task without making mistakes and finish projects within given timeline.

Qualification:

  • BS (1-2 year of experience) or MS (0-1year experience) in Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related fields.

  • Experience with high-throughput DNA analytics – DNA concentration measurement using UV/Vis absorbance spectrometer, DNA integrity test via Fragment analyzer, DNA sequencing via Sanger sequencing and related data analysis.

  • Ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of molecular cloning techniques (restriction digestion based cloning, Gibson Assembly, Hi-Fi Assembly, In-Fusion cloning).

  • Hands-on experience with a range of molecular biology techniques PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, nucleic acid purification, sequencing etc.

  • Experience in using molecular biology software such as Geneious is a must.

  • Must be well organized, self-motivated, proactive, work well under pressure and deadlines and detail oriented.

  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate work on several simultaneous projects.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively both within and across teams. Must be a team player.
