The Opportunity

Fantastic opportunity to join the Japan Finance team as we continue to build a top-class FP&A team that provides analytics insights, implements changes, and actively drives our rapid top line growth and margin expansion.

You will support the JP Director Sales for the Digital Media B2C business and  be responsible for the Financial performance for  JP B2C Sales organisation.

The role is located in Tokyo, reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, Asia-Pacific and Japan.

What you'll do:

Planning

Lead top line planning, rolling forecasting & reporting processes across the B2C Digital Media business for JP, including ARR, bookings. Develop and communicate targets, lead overall planning process, evaluate final results and synthesize and communicate to JP and Corporate leadership teams.

Forecasting

Design appropriate process, methodology, variables and modelling techniques to develop and deliver forecast of ARR. Be very curious with strong desire to drive issues to root cause, such as in the explanation of key variances between actuals and plans / forecasts

Reporting

Prepare executive facing reporting materials to summarize financial performance, such as quarterly financial review package, presentation decks for Quarterly Business Reviews and Executive visits.

Process Excellence & Automation

Drive efficient in processes & reporting, visuals that speak for themselves and self-service tools though smart use of the latest finance tools! Be the primary finance contact with the Adobe finance systems team and help make finance data and operating metrics easy to find and use.

Business Partnering

Actively engage and collaborate with JP and regional sales teams to drive solid financial analysis and deliver financial insight across supported markets.

Provide advice to business groups in managing budgets and driving to-line metrics.

What you need to succeed:

  • Multi National Organization Experience desirable
  • Positive and “can do” attitude as well as sense of urgency to complete tasks is essential.
  • Ability to work closely with sales teams with credibility, independence and integrity.
  • The position requires solid understanding of financial fundamentals, strong analytical and problem solving skills, accuracy, and excellent communication skills to articulate key business and financial impacts.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player who can work closely with peers – across borders and cross cultures.
  • Someone with a strong understanding of technology sales and experience in gathering and analyzing sales data.
  • Strong understanding of Financial Systems and processes. Proficiency in MS Excel essential and PowerBI, TM1, Tableau, Anaplan experience would be a plus. 
  • Experience in SAAS business model and understanding of related sales analytics, or finance issues is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field; Professional qualification (CA/CPA/MBA) desirable
  • Minimum 8 years of FP&A (or related) experience required
  • Business proficiency in English required.
  • Business proficiency in Japanese preferred.
