Our opportunity
We're looking for our new Business Development Executive in Chile for Warehousing and Distribution to cover 4 countries in West Coast South America who will be responsible for driving sales and promoting technical products and solutions specifically tailored to the warehousing & distribution. This role requires in-depth knowledge of these sectors, as well as strong sales and communication skills to effectively engage with potential customers, understand their unique requirements, and propose appropriate technical solutions.

The Business Development Executive collaborates with the sales team and works closely with customers to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales targets in the warehousing, distribution, and container depot domains.

Key responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge:
    Develop an extensive understanding of products and solutions related to warehousing and distribution, including warehouse management systems, tracking technologies, storage systems, material handling equipment, and related services. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the sector.

  • Sales and Customer Engagement:
    Identify and engage with potential customers in the warehousing and distribution industries through various channels, such as industry events, trade shows, cold calling, and referrals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers in targeted organizations. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations that effectively showcase how the technical solutions meet the specific needs of warehousing operations. Understand customer pain points, challenges, and requirements to propose tailored technical solutions. Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries, follow-up on leads, and prepare comprehensive proposals.

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
    Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies, goals, and forecasts. Identify target markets, industry verticals, and potential customers for focused sales efforts. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Provide valuable feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market requirements.

  • Technical Support and Training:
    Provide technical support and assistance to customers during the sales process and after the sale is made. Collaborate with technical teams to address customer issues or concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate customers on the technical features, benefits, and optimal utilization of the products and solutions.

  • Sales Performance Tracking:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, customer information, and activity reports within the designated CRM system. Monitor sales performance metrics, such as revenue, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction. Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for business growth, product enhancements, and strategic partnerships within the target industries.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering) is preferred.

  • Proven experience in technical sales within the warehousing and distribution, demonstrating a strong understanding of related products and solutions.

  • Excellent knowledge of warehousing and distribution processes, and related industry standards.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a customer-centric approach.

  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasive selling skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in using Salesforce and other sales tools.

  • English written and spoken, Intermediate to Advance level
