Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Junior Aeronautical Engineer - Helicopter Mission Preparation System (f/m) to join our Digital Technologies Department based in Marignane, France.

It is a team highly motivated and engaged which develops, delivers and supports innovative and high-end SW solutions.

The position is located inside the Mission Planning ground product team, which is responsible for the leadership and co-ordination of engineering activities in Mission Ground Products and Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) application for Helicopters.

Airbus Helicopters develops Mission Preparation and Debriefing stations for several international customers of our Helicopters. These products allow the helicopter operator to prepare the necessary data before flight for mission operations (e.g. maps, navigation plan, helicopter performance, weight and balance, tactical data) and then upload into the complex mission systems on the helicopter.

Team challenges:

  • Propose to Programs/market competitive solutions to develop AH business

  • Define with all AH and partners stakeholders a clear roadmap of what should be put on the market (product, services) with associated business model.

Your main tasks will be as follows:

  • Collecting needs from Customers and Program Manager in the field of Mission Planning and Debriefing systems as well as Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) activities

  • Specifying the functional perimeter of the products

  • Defining development planning according to the Helicopter master schedule

  • Ensuring a follow-up during all the development cycle

  • Validating the delivered products (product shall cope with the operational needs of the customers)

  • Support Programs and Sales on pre-sales activity and new offers

Your profile:

  • Educated to a 5-year degree level in aeronautics or equivalent,

  • Knowledge and interest in aeronautics,

  • Capacity to organize and prioritize tasks in a team spirit working environment,

  • Communication skills (written, verbal) and customer-focused personality; Training experience is a plus,

  • Language Skills: advanced level of French and English.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
