Overview

The Embedded Risk Team is responsible for the management of non-financial risks and the respective controls for Corporate Bank Trade Finance & Lending Operations globally. The team member report directly into the Global Head of ERT for the Trade Finance & Lending Operations and support him in executing the required controls and managing the risk portfolio of the operations area.

The team is also involved in various aspects of managing the Finding Portfolio of the organization and performing risk assessments within the respective Operations Teams. The team is working closely with stakeholders in the Operations Teams and the serviced Business Functions, such as Trade Finance, Cash Lending, Global Credit Trading, Structured Trade & Export Finance etc.

The role is demanding complex & critical in nature and requires interaction with the Divisional Risk & Control Office (DCRO), Group Audit and Non-Financial Risk Management.

What You’ll Do

  • Provides processes and plans for systematic, proactive, and forward-looking risk identification, risk assessment, monitoring and reporting and keeping divisional risk profile up to date and supports the annual Risk & Control Assessment for Trade Finance and Lending Operations

  • Performs independent reviews and risk assessments, priorities identified issues and assesses remediation actions for quality, considering the optimal cost-risk ratio as well the strategically optimal resolution

  • Ensures appropriate oversight of follow-up on action items to resolve identified issues, e.g. operational risk self-assessment, independent (project) risk review, audit issue resolution

  • Plans in cooperation with central functions the preparation and remediation of internal and external, regulatory, and legal audits, serves as escalation/ conflict resolution point and verifies remediation concepts for critical and systemic issues and monitors their execution according to plan and with quality

  • Manages audit issues and self-identified issues for the group, ensuring timely completeness and executing validation activities in accordance with the Lifecycle-Event Management, coordinates and supports the capture and overview of operational incident

Skills You’ll Need

  • Audit environment as well as project management preferable

  • Able to provide decision papers as well as experiences with the implementation and maintenance of efficient controls to ensure new regulatory and Deutsche Bank internal requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving and be able to analyse complex situations, the develop solutions and the summarize these in a short, concise, and decision-oriented way

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $78,000 to $111,800. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
