XPE is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, Media, Compute, and Display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:  

  • As a Lab Engineering Technician for the GfxSV team you will support engineering efforts by managing and maintaining the lab environment.
  • Support validation testing and debug, lab shipping and receiving logistics, and inventory management of equipment and materials.
  • Drive commissioning and qualification of equipment and equipment systems, maintains lab environments, equipment, and tools for hardware testing.
  • Installs, uses, and updates hardware lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators.
  • Apply knowledge of validation industry standards and best practices to drive automation and improvement of the validation process, tools, and methodology, and proliferate learning across sites.
  • Support and maintain the lab automation testing infrastructure.
  • Perform hardware reworks as necessary.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and good laboratory housekeeping, establishes, maintains, and conducts routine testing of benches, testers, and other equipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a High School degree and one or more of the following:
  • 5+ year technical experience.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • 3+ years hands-on experience supporting GTA automation infrastructure.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Python scripting knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience and hands on skills with LTB, ITP, Logic Analyzers and Oscilloscopes.
  • Hardware fine-pitch rework experience.
  • Basic Knowledge of GPU architecture.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$67,580.00-$98,260.00 (Hourly Role)

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
