GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

This position will serve as a support role for the Materials Costing department. This position involves a significant level of data entry and requires a high level of attention to detail.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process supplier part number requests and updates.
  • Read sales orders and production prints to understand and plan material needs.
  • Count, track and analyze material usages
  • Keep track of orders placed with suppliers
  • Process purchasing orders (entry, update, and corrections)
  • Input local orders and purchases
  • Process scrap, damaged and obsolete materials.
  • Coordinating material needs from usages, sales orders & production prints
  • Process and input monthly reports.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory (includes sat. Work)

CORE COMPETENCIES AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two years of experience with Materials Costing, strongly preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in Materials, Inventory, or Cycle Counts, strongly preferred.
  • Speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of AS400, strongly preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with multiple software platforms (high software learning aptitude)
  • Associate Degree or higher with emphasis on accounts payable or business administration, strongly preferred.
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and deliver projects within deadlines
  • Able to communicate positively and clearly with peers, managers, and internal customers
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication. Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively with all levels in the organization.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time including extended hours in front of a computer screen.
  • Continuously requires ability to see, hear and speak.
  • Frequently requires sitting, fine dexterity, and standing.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach overhead, work outside and in non-climate-controlled environment, and tolerate exposure to loud noises and machinery, dust and chemicals.
  • Lifting up to 20-lbs.

Schedule: Mon. – Fri. 8:00a – 5:00p, with an hour lunch. Occasional overtime and some Saturdays.

Pay: $22-$24/hr., negotiable depending on experience.
