Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer who is seasoned, a true guide in your functional field, with a rich background of experience and an extensive skills? As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will own the charge in enhancing the design of mechanical ride and show systems, as well as facility systems, using innovative technologies to optimize their life-cycle costs. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide spectrum of mechanical engineering tasks, including in-depth engineering analysis, thorough testing, and the creation of precise assembly, detail, and part fabrication drawings. You'll also be instrumental in defining system and functional requirements, conducting thorough hazard analysis and FMEA, establishing vendor performance specifications, crafting maintenance and inspection procedures, and developing acceptance test plans. Collaboration will be a key element of your role, as you'll work closely with partners across all levels of the organization to formulate data-driven, technical solutions.

In this exciting and impactful role, you will report to the Manager of Global Applied Technology, ensuring your contributions have a far-reaching and significant impact.

This is a full-time role.

What You Will Do

  • Mentor other engineers and interns in developing fundamental engineering skills.

  • Identify project opportunities that apply design changes to decrease total cost of ownership of a ride or facility.

  • Perform engineering analysis and financial pro-formas for new project concepts.

  • Verify design compliance with applicable codes and standards.

  • Provide technical guidance for equipment fabrication, installation and commissioning efforts.

  • Verify system performance through acceptance and performance testing.

  • Resolve functional and detail system requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of direct experience in mechanical engineering, detail design and commissioning of industrial automation, large conveyance or transportation systems.

  • Demonstrated proficiency completing engineering design software (Ex: SolidWorks).

  • Shown proficiency in engineering analysis.

  • Experience completing multiple, concurrent, engineering tasks and projects.

  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and shift based coverage including immediate response coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven manufacturing experience (EX.including welding, machining and assembly.)

  • Experience with engineering design involving multiple manufacturing methods and different materials (metal and non-metal).

  • Experience leading design, installation and testing efforts on dynamic systems.

  • Solidworks' experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency using MathCad.

  • Showed proficiency using Ansys.

Education

  • Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering in an ABET accredited institution.
