ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

In this rewarding opportunity you will join the friendly Nutrition Team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) as a Dietitian (Grade 1 casual) based at our Fitzroy / East Melbourne campuses.

Your role will involve:

  • Patient centred care by maintaining high standards of evidence based clinical practice and monitor standards through ongoing review
  • Liaising with medical staff, Nursing, and Allied health to promote best practice clinical care in nutrition
  • Actively supporting patients to  make informed decisions about their treatment and ongoing care
  • Regular communication with other Nutrition Department staff through regular clinical meetings
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with the Food Service on nutrition related issues to assist in the provision of safe, nutritionally optimal diets in accordance with current standards and patients’ nutritional needs

ABOUT YOU:

You will hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Nutrition & Dietetics which provides eligibility to participate in the Accredited Practising Dietitian programme.

Your skills will include:

  • An ability to provide a high standard of evidence based nutrition care to acute and non acute patients in the hospital setting.
  • Have excellent communication skills with all staff including medical, nursing, allied health and food service staff
  • Clinical experience desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to be flexible with days of work
  • Ability to work as a valued team player
  • DA membership desirable but not mandatory.
