The Creative Learning Design and Delivery team is a consultative shared service within the Learning & Talent Solutions Center of Excellence supporting Human Resources Learning and Development initiatives across The Walt Disney Company. The teams collaborate to design, deliver, and innovate custom learning solutions to support the Company’s highest priorities. These solutions range from broad, Enterprise-wide initiatives, like Onboarding and Performance at Disney to custom, highly impactful, Executive and Leadership experiences that align to specific business goals.

As a Visual Media Specialist, you will be part of the team that produces experiences for employees of The Walt Disney Company to gain the most impact from their learning and leadership development. You will join in the ideation, creation, and production of enterprise-level employee development and business specific training experiences by using design and technology to strategically support in-person, virtual, and on-demand learning for the employees. You’ll approach your work from a multidisciplinary, holistic perspective–applying expertise across storytelling, video, audio, motion graphics, visual design, and potential interactive design. You will spend time working towards the vision alongside career, performance, executive and leadership content curators, creative producers, and learning experience designers.

The Visual Media Specialist is responsible for creating compelling photography, design, video content and motion graphics that enhance the learner experience and development programs for leaders and learners. The Visual Media Specialist reports to the Manager, Creative Development.
 

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, learning experience designers and creative producers to develop video and motion graphics content that supports objectives and enhances the learner experience.
  • Produce high-quality videos, including scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, and additional post-production.
  • Design and incorporate multimedia elements into thoughtful material with exceptional production value. Outputs may include video snippets, micro-content, presentations, instructional marketing, sizzle reels, leader interviews, recaps of recorded sessions etc.
  • Create motion graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance instructional and inspirational content.
  • Apply your outstanding attention to detail and craft, ensuring final product development fully reflects accessibility and quality standards.
  • Have a desire to learn and advance your technical abilities across industry trends and emerging tech made available in video production.
  • Provide technical support for video playback and troubleshooting within learning platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining a library of videos and graphic assets for future use.
  • Work either independently or closely with learning experience design project managers or creative producers to process the project lifecycle: planning, ideation, pre-production, production, and delivery.
     

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of proven experience operating as an end-to-end in multimedia production, video, and motion graphics preferably in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications especially Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects required.
  • Must be detailed, possess very strong organizational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner in a deadline driven environment.
  • Time management skills are a must. Ability to balance multiple assignments and work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Utilize personas and target audience to inform and inspire design.
  • Capability to build representative samples, interactive prototypes.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with scripting, storyboarding, and marketing is a plus!
     

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $62,600.00 - $80,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
