Application Architect: Big Data

Introduction
In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As Sr Snowflake Developer, You will work on modern ways of automating data pipeline using cloud based implementation and Testing and clearly document the requirements to create technical and functions specs

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to Ingest data from files, streams and databases.
• Responsible to design and develop distributed, high volume, high velocity multi-threaded event processing systems.
• Analyze, code and performance tuning UDFs, UDTF, Procedures using SQL, Python and/or JavaScript.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of experience with Information Technology; 7+ years in Data Warehouse and ETL development and 4+ years of strong experience in designing and implementing a fully operational solution on Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Excellent understanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologies
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities like SnowSQL, SnowPipe, experience in administering Snowflake, experience with data loading from cloud (Azure) & APIs etc.
• Experience with creating dbt(data build tool) models for snowflake

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Understanding data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipeline using cloud based implementation and Testing and clearly document the requirements to create technical and functions specs
• Experience with Python a big plus and a major relational database
• Understanding of RESTful API design Passion for industry best practices and computer programming
