Position Overview:

The Lead Analytics Implementation engineer will be part of Growth and Martech Engineering team to implement web analytics and experience cloud solutions for Adobe.com. The Engineer is expected to take accountability of designing the web data collection/tagging solutions and instrument it using Adobe Launch, JavaScript and other supporting tools on a large scale web platform.

Position Summary:

  • Responsible to convert business requirements from Product managers, and Analysts to Solution Design Reference (SDR) document. Build the Technical specification guide with data layer approach as per approved Schema design and follow the global practices.
  • Responsible to build custom tagging solutions in Adobe Launch/Tags based on requirement. Work with Engineering and page owners to build the data layer setup as per requirements.
  • Build a data connection, data view and assist analysts in Customer Journey Analytics, Query services within AEP.
  • Responsible to lead the migration of Marketing Pixels to Event Forwarding Integration/Server-Side Integration (CAPI). Implement marketing pixels and 3rd Party tags in Adobe Launch by following the standard and custom methodologies.
  • Collaborate with business partners in prioritizing analytics implementation requirements for new initiatives.
  • Implement Web SDK to ingest the web behavioural data from web sites and web apps into Adobe Experience Platform and participate in designing the schema architecture for data collection.
  • Fix and resolve the tagging anomalies or any data discrepancies found on the website.
  • Provide estimates of user stories in Story Points, and detailed task estimates in hours.
  • Showcase technical leadership capabilities to own the delivery end to end.

Desired skills & Experiences required

  • 8+ yrs. of web analytics implementation experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products, Adobe Launch and other Tag management solutions.
  • Adobe Analytics / AEP (Alloy) / Adobe Target implementation experience across the lifecycle.
  • Deeper knowledge on AEP Web SDK based integration.
  • Good understanding of Adobe Target integration on static or dynamic web sites.
  • Should be proficient in Adobe Launch/Tags configuration to integrate by creating rules, data elements, extensions.
  • Should be familiar with Data Streams/Mapper, Event Forwarding techniques with Experience Platform.
  • Excellent JavaScript experience in coding and troubleshooting the analytics implementation on a large scale website.
  • Be able to convert SDR to exact JavaScript code to be added on page or user actions on page. Create and maintain Adobe Analytics JavaScript tags and plugins.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing 3rd party or Marketing pixels such as Google Tag, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight tags etc... using Event Forwarding.
  • Good understanding of Optimization / Testing Tools like Adobe Target, or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more debugging tools like Charles, Chrome Debugger, AEP Debugger.
  • Detailed knowledge of Admin console, setting up Processing Rules, Marketing Channels and various other components of Adobe Analytics/AEP.
  • Good understanding on Reporting and Analytics concepts, Analysis Workspace, Segments, Calculated Metric etc.
  • Education: Any graduation or post-graduation is fine. Computer Science Engineer is preferred
  • Ability to self-manage time, manage workload, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems. Demonstrates the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Exhibits excellence in both verbal and written communication, actively listening and articulating ideas with clarity and confidence.
