Job Description

Responsabilities:

  • Develop and execute a robust performance improvement strategy based on performance gaps,  technology trends, business intelligence for key GP&MS suppliers in order to meet business priorities
  • Responsible for building/timely manage hard data (KPI´s, scorecards) to better support purchasing decisions including strategic presentations to GMM & GP&MS leadership
  • Support buyers with resolution of operational issues as well as expedite new suppliers learning curve
  • Manage Supplier Relationships and ensure achievement of supplier commitments (Quality, Cost, Performance, Timing)
  • Initiate escalation process whenever necessary
  •  Ability to travel to plant locations when required for onsite support of launch and build-out
  • Ability to problem tackle complete issues and implement new and innovative strategies
  • Implement GP&MS Quality system to manage Suppliers performance

Knowledge, Skills, Competences:

  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Able to understand basic engineering documents
  • Knowledge of plant products, manufacturing processes and departmental relationships
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Thorough knowledge of Corporate/unit purchasing practices and procedures
  • Highly proficient oral and written communication skills
  • High levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output
  • Negotiation skills
  • Proven leadership capability
  • Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Developed organizational skills including ability to prioritize assignments /projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints, meet deadlines
  • High level of analytical ability where problems can be somewhat complex
  • High level of capability to work globally, independently, and self-directed
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
  • Knowledge of computer software applications
  • Demonstrated global business skills
  • Solid knowledge of contract law and its applications regarding purchasing processes
  • Ability to travel to GMM Manufacturing sites, including international travel

Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related area Completion of recommended Corporate training programs
  • English Language Fluency
  • Experience managing commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performance
  • This role requires an experienced collaborator to drive a multi functional team including collaboration
