What you will do:
As a Training Specialist you will be responsible for the execution of new-hire onboarding, and training of tenured repair technicians. This role is also responsible for ensuring training curricula are appropriately assigned, utilizing Stryker's online learning management system (SLMS).This role will support the training and onboarding of repair technicians within the Kalamazoo, MI service center, as well as international repair technicians visiting the Kalamazoo site for training.
Develop and deliver training programs and materials aligned with organizational strategies
Engage actively in onboarding and mentoring new Repair Technicians, emphasizing proper process execution, customer-centric behaviors, and values-based practices
Provide consistent delivery of training content covering areas such as new hire orientation, product knowledge, and repair techniques
Review and update training content for accuracy to role requirements
Track training completion in the Stryker Learning Management System
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to support Repair Technicians and Engineers in navigating the Learning Management System
Collaborate with international leaders to schedule training sessions, whether virtual or in-person
Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the development of updated procedures
Partner with Engineering to enhance the overall execution of work conducted by the Service Operations team
What you need:
High School Diploma or GED - required
5+ years of relevant experience - required; Previous experience in training development & delivery or training development & delivery in a regulated environment -preferred
Associates or Bachelors degree - preferred
Strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to make decisions and problem-solve with little direction.
Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements.
