Job Description:

  • Permanent, full-time position, open to part-time (0.8 FTE)

 

Leveraging their impactful communication skills and deep insights into donor motivations, the Donor Engagement Manager leads on all communications strategies for the St Vincent’s Foundation Victoria in support of the Foundation strategy.

Reporting to, and working closely with, the Senior Manager, Donor Experience, the Donor Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing communications and engagement strategies to increase philanthropic support from donors, engage staff and increase community awareness of the work of the St Vincent’s Foundation Victoria. They have one direct report, the Digital Fundraising Specialist.

The Donor Engagement Manager will be responsible for developing content for all communications tools and materials, including newsletters, annual reports, direct mail campaigns and other fundraising and marketing collateral.

 

Salary for the position range from $115,000 - $125,000 per annum, based on experience (pro-rata for part-time)

 

Key responsibilities of the role:      

  • Develop messaging and materials for various communication channels
  • Create and execute internal communications plans to promote the work of the Foundation, specifically the staff giving program and the grateful patient program
  • Ensure all communications and materials adhere to style and brand guidelines, being the primary contact with the SVHM Communications and Media team
  • Work with the Communications and Media team to support their efforts in raising awareness of the hospital's philanthropic initiatives, impact stories, and community partnerships through their relationships with media outlets.

Things that work for us:

  • An undergraduate qualification in arts, journalism, communications, marketing, public relations or another relevant field, with relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Impeccable writing, editing and proofreading skills, including a strong and demonstrated ability to create compelling, clear and accurate content for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate materials from scratch, using interviews, research and existing written material.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with using the Ms Office Suite, Raiser’s Edge, Wordpress, Social Media and other project and content management software.
  • Previous fundraising, development or advancement experience desired.
  • Current 2023 Flu Vaccine or the willingness to receive the 2024 Flu Vaccine when available, and a minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • A valid National Police Clearance, or willing to obtain
