St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) is a facility of St Vincent's Health Australia under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries. We are a not for profit Catholic private hospital which operates across four sites at Fitzroy, East Melbourne, Kew and Werribee.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
St Vincent’s Private Hospital Fitzroy is undergoing an exciting hospital transformation project set to be completed in 2024. Our Maternity Services are part of this exciting redevelopment with new purpose-built luxurious birthing suites, post-natal ward and special care nursery ward been part of this project.

There are a variety of shifts available during the week and weekend to choose from, the choice is yours!

Key Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  •  Deliver exceptional patient experience to women, their partners/families and their babies to have a positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience
  • Provide a high standard of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural groups
  • Plan, assess, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with women, their partners/families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes

ABOUT YOU:

  • Current registration Registered Midwife with AHPRA,
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in postnatal care at least 3 years post registration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work within the Mission, Values and Standards of Service Excellence of St Vincent’s Health Australia.
  • Dedicated to safe best practice and quality care
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts evenings, night duty including weekends.
