Job Description

This is a hybrid role: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis

What you will do:

The CCA Field Actions Engineer primary responsibility, in cooperation with the Quality Field Actions Engineer, is to assure a successful and timely launch of all approved field actions for the Mexican and GMCC markets.   

A critical ort metrics.  The CCA Field Actions Engineer will work with various CCA positions, such as the National Warranty Supervisor, the Warranty Consultants, District Managers Aftersales (DMA), Field Service Engineers (FSE), and Customer Quality Engineers (CQE) to ensure Processes & Procedures are met while improving the experience, serving as a key liaison between GM, our Dealer Network and our Customers.  A person in this role develops into a key role as a subject matter expert in all aspects of the Field Actions and procedures.

Additional Job Description

Main Activities

  • Attend the execution SFI meetings.
  • Release local Field Actions (FAs) bulletins.
  • Validate availability of the correct level of inventory, prior to launch any Field Action.
  • Supports the delivery of Service Parts.
  • Request the upload of the affected VINs, provide follow up and validate there are no error in the activity.
  • Provide answers to Field Actions related questions from dealers.
  • Support dealers and Field Service Engineers to fix vehicles and meet SFI metrics.
  • Request the mailing of the notification letters to final customer.
  • Handle Warranty expenses related to Field Actions.
  • Track and/or develop Field Actions related metrics.
  • Lead strategies to improve completion rates in the Mexican and GMCC Markets.
  • Manage POs with related suppliers.
  • Support the selection of the supplier for mailing letters.
  • Manage payments to suppliers
  • Attend MEC SFI monthly meeting.
  • Create Field Actions report for major and/or special field actions.
  • Respond to dealer’s controversies about FA performance.
  • Request creation of new Labor Codes when needed for special FAs.

Focused Analytics

  • Create ad-hoc reports from GWM data
  • Create the monthly Field Action’s performance for Mexico and GMCC
  • Occasionally pull data for legal requests

Respond to email requests

  • Respond to all the inquiries in the Field Actions e-mail account.

Develop Yearly Objectives

  • Create new objectives based on past years results
  • Review and update the Service Standard related to Field Actions, including Electrical Vehicles

 Other

  • Help to find creative solutions when it is required to launch some Field Actions that require specific actions that need to be locally developed.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering bachelor’s degree, or similar, with high knowledge on vehicle’s parts and functionality.
  • User of MS Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Big Data Management preferrable.
  • Statistical knowledge and data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills and time management.
  • Excellent written communication in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to express ideas, problems, solutions, recommendations in English.

Preferred

  • Knowledge and experience in vehicle components and repairs
  • Data analytics experience
  • Field experience with dealers
