About the Role:
As a Senior Technical Writer, you’ll lead documentation efforts for your assigned product area to deliver a best-in-class content experience for our highly technical audiences. You’ll set the example for best practices in user-centered technical writing, work with SMEs to develop a deep understanding of complex products, and play a key role in defining content delivery strategy.
What You'll Do:
Plan and develop high-quality, user-focused content that helps users get the most out of our products and elevates our product documentation set.
Develop deep product knowledge through researching, partnering with SMEs, using the product, and leveraging your innate sense of curiosity and desire to figure things out.
Define, refine, and own the documentation set for your assigned product area, including managing delivery timelines and output.
Play a key operational role in architecting the pipeline for delivering user-facing content to various sources, including taxonomy-driven, context-sensitive help.
Help expand and refine our writing team’s standards, processes, tooling, and best practices, identifying improvements and helping to implement them at scale.
Mentor other writers and participate in collaborative content reviews.
Advocate for the customer in all aspects of your job and be a documentation evangelist.
What You'll Need:
10+ years of experience in technical writing.
Strong knowledge of DITA/XML and structured authoring.
Demonstrated understanding of topic-based authoring and reusable information architecture.
Experience with a docs-as-code model or experience using Git for documentation source control.
Excellent writing skills, great sentence structure, and ability to write with a conversational yet professional voice.
Demonstrated ability to develop a thoughtful information hierarchy and deliver content components that contribute to a cohesive documentation set.
A user-centric focus on what the customer needs, not what the system does.
Experience exploring a customer’s pain points and addressing their needs through documentation.
Demonstrated ability to work with engineers on a technical level to integrate help content into a product.
Strong cross-functional communication skills that enable you to drive projects with numerous stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with tight deadlines and high expectations.
Exceptional audience analysis, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong grasp of UX fundamentals and content strategy, and experience working with UX designers and researchers.
Portfolio of writing samples that demonstrate your excellent writing skills and ability to make complex/technical subjects easy to comprehend for an intended audience.
Bonus Points:
Cybersecurity experience strongly preferred.
Experience using a Component Content Management System (CCMS).

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $185,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
