This position will require the successful candidate to complete full scope of operations in running and maintaining facilities systems with a focus on mechanical systems (working knowledge of boilers, chillers, exhaust and HVAC equipment a must) and to work across various facilities disciplines.

The successful candidate will be required to work a compressed work weeknight shift schedule. Alternating 3 or 4 days a week for 12-hour shifts.  Shift doesn't rotate. Note job will start on compressed work weekday shift for training for several months before moving to night shift.

As an Aloha Facilities Mechanical Technician your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling systems.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and perform required preventative maintenance duties.

  • Assignments are semi-routine in nature with work performed within generally defined parameters. Some degree of judgment required in resolving non-standard problems.

  • Cross train in facilities operations and maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service

  • Work with computer-based systems to track and respond to facility alarms, track and complete facility related work order assignments, computer-based training.


The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Good computer skills with experience with using Microsoft office products and email programs.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must have at least one of the following:

  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or any equivalent degree.

  • Military service with 1+ years of mechanical systems work experience.

  • 1+ years of work experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, building exhaust, water movement. Etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Maximo, SCADA, and SPEED a plus.

  • 2+ years of work experience in facility mechanical systems operations and maintenance (boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, building exhaust, water movement. Etc.).

  • 2+ years of experience role modeling safety behaviors and influencing team members
