Market Sizing and Forecasting (MSF) is a group within Client Computing Group Operations (CCG Ops) in the Sales and Marketing Group (SMG). It works closely with other CCG Ops and SMG groups, as well as the Business Unit and other stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of market trends and to formulate forecasts in support of the greater SMG organization and overall corporate strategy. MSF is known for its deep technical expertise and ability to apply analytic techniques to business problems.

The MSF team is seeking an experienced Economics & Business Analyst to develop a deep understanding of Asia Pacific (APJ) / India market trends and economics and applying models to forecast units, revenues, and product mix of PCs, servers and other ICT devices. You will be developing and maintaining a high-quality database using industry, economic and company data, as well as supporting numerous forecast and data analytics initiatives. You will also be responsible for working with stakeholders to drive action based on the forecasts. Stakeholders include SMG, the Technology Manufacturing Group (TMG) and Product Divisions.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields OR equivalent related experience (4 years) in addition to: 2+ years industry experience 2+ years of Business Analyst experience including: Developing, maintaining, monitoring and improving analytical business models. A successful candidate will demonstrate: - Proficiency with developing and adapting technical skills and techniques appropriate for evolving business problems. - Competence in locating, understanding, and organizing market and industry data. - Successfully supports requests for special studies, and developed management presentations. - Experience in areas of market research analysis, web analytics, or big data analysis. - Works well independently and with the broader international team. - Project management and organizational skills required to plan, execute, and meet stakeholder commitments on-time. - High quality work through diligent documentation of process/methodology, data sources, and assumptions. - Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills as this position requires interaction at multiple management levels, across a variety of job functions, and with industry partners and analysts. - Proficiency in handling the demands of simultaneous projects.
