Job Summary
Dish Washers maintain food safety standards by properly cleaning, transporting and storing all dishes, cookware, utensils, etc., used in the preparation of food at locations. They are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the store facility while ensuring the safety of customers and Team Members.Job Description
- Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
- Experience Desired: Experience in janitorial/maintenance; Culinary background, knowledge or curiosity
- Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification or Licensing Preferred: Mechanical Training
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all china, silverware, flatware, pots and pans utilized in the day-to-day operation of the prepared food departments.
- Maintain compactor area to ensure cleanliness and eliminate odors.
- Ensure that all of the areas of prepared foods, beverage bar, hot bar, cold bar, pizza/pasta, etc., have the proper amount of food preparation items in order to effectively service customers.
- Perform regular cleaning/maintenance on all food preparation areas including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, tables and floors.
- Actively support a culture of safety which includes, but is not limited to, food safety, Team Member safety and customer safety.
- Apply mechanical ability and knowledge when required.
- Perform regular cleaning tasks daily and/or as needed (sweeping/mopping/cleaning).
- Provide active sampling opportunities, when appropriate.
- Return perishable products to the proper department.

- Ability to tie a bale and empty balers as needed (cardboard and plastic), as well as transport bales to the designated area for pick up.
