Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build scalable and efficient software that powers Amazon's platforms and services.

The CloudTune organization is responsible for the technical infrastructure that enables Amazon to deliver services to customers. Our products continuously right-size compute resources at Amazon's scale dynamically. This is achieved through forecasting models powered by machine learning and AI, which analyze usage metrics, configurations, and statistics. We identify critical availability risks and infrastructure efficiency opportunities, then delivers software products that automate optimization and provide quantitative measures for organizational leaders and stakeholders.

We are looking for talented software engineers to build services that process massive amounts of data, derive actionable insights, and present compelling visualizations to our customers. Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:

- Solve large-scale problems using both data-centric and service-oriented approaches
- Design and develop highly scalable, distributed software components
- Apply machine learning and statistical models to real-world applications
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop innovative new products
- Work with product management and partner teams to translate ideas into technical designs and project plans
- Make data-driven decisions and think big!

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Sunnyvale, CA, USA

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
