Job Description: 

High-volume manufacturing facility in Rio Rancho, New Mexico is looking for amazing talent. Join us and help us create the next generation of technologies that will shape the future. The Equipment Engineer's primary responsibility is to drive equipment they own for sustaining and or installation/demo on time to meet the factory needs. The Equipment Engineer will partner with other engineers within the module as well as partner with the area coordinators during the construction phase of a project by performing inspection activities, quality assurance, providing technical guidance, and driving issue resolution to meet schedules. The Equipment Engineer will often encounter roadblocks and will need to utilize their creativity to overcome these challenges or quickly escalate to drive resolution.

Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

  • Execution of a variety of Install/Qual projects, such as ramps, equipment demos, process transfers, tool layout, and approving layout changes.

  • Design review quality, including ensuring accuracy in local site and reference packages.

  • Demo coordination of existing tools that are no longer used or will sold to new customers.

  • Identifying opportunities to reuse materials or equipment is critical to driving cost leadership for equipment installations.

Full time onsite required during training, estimated 6 months.

After training: hybrid “work from home” to be defined by manager and employee but continued onsite will be required.

Relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Optics, Chemistry, or related field with 3+ years of Semiconductor Equipment Installation experience

  • 2+ years' experience of equipment engineering related experience.

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience owning and managing complex schedules.

  • Experience with on time equipment installation, new process startup activities, and knowledge of ramp process and equipment needs.

  • Knowledge or fab layout.

  • IQ (Install/Qualify) experience with the operational assessments, working with external teams, and developing and executing corrective action plans.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
