Altera empowers customers to unlock the full potential of data through cutting-edge programmable platforms. In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024 with ongoing support from Intel. This will give Altera the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.

This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

About the Role:

As the executive assistant for the Vertical Market Segment division you will provide comprehensive and confidential support to the general manager. You will own meetings, events, travel, and expenses, and prepare and review documents and presentations. You will also interface with various teams and partners, both internally and externally, with professionalism and tact. To excel in this role, you will need attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • General office management duties such as acquiring supplies, shipping and receiving, making shopping runs, managing team expenses, managing purchase orders, development organizational charts, executing communications, and managing division distribution lists.
  • Organizing and managing complex calendar schedule(s) for one or more managers, maintaining executive's agenda and planning appointments, customer meetings, conferences, travel, expenses, catering, and other logistics.
  • Owns planning and executing departmental events, quarterly events, conferences, and general in-person events on a regular cadence.
  • Exercises diplomacy, tact, and judgment in interacting with a wide range of constituents at varying levels of an organization including staff at all levels, administration staff; customers.
  • Strong capability working with all office productivity software tools, internal, and cloud-based collaboration tools as well as purchasing and finance systems.
  • Works closely with senior leaders and their staff

Qualifications:

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an executive assistant or equivalent role supporting senior staff members
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and/or Google Drive (Sheets, Documents, Slides)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) and/or Google Drive (Sheets, Documents, Slides)
  • Experience supporting C-level staff members
  • Event Management, i.e.: quarterlies, F2F meetings, and team builders
  • Executive level calendar scheduling and travel arrangements
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, & presentation) with the ability to synthesize and abstract complex information into clear messages for multiple audiences including executives, customers, and employees
  • Strong industry (product, business and ecosystem) acumen
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to project confidence, competence, and credibility in any situation (Executive presence)
  • Ability to understand interdependencies between organizations, establish and leverage a diverse network.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$71,391.00-$107,215.00 (Hourly Role)

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
