Job Description

Be responsible for overseeing and managing various corporate financial transactions, traditional corporate treasury functions, and capital financing. Lead and execute corporate financial transactions, including strategic alliances, acquisitions, and divestments, to support the company's growth strategy. Support creation of yearly financial objectives that align with the business partner’s plan for growth and expansion. Contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategies. Provide insights and recommendations on financial decisions, investment opportunities, and capital allocation. Review and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss, forecast vs. budget, and cash flow. Assess and evaluate financial performance of supported business partner with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures. Develop and review funding strategies for pension plans and manage interest rates, foreign exchange (FX) and commodity price risk. Monitor commodities and foreign exchange market in relation to product and investment pricing, trends, and demand. Monitor cash balances in company In-house Bank (IHB) to ensure liquidity requirements are met. Perform finance valuations, such as net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR) and discounted cash flow analysis. Utilize GM internal treasury management tools including Wall Street Systems and Bloomberg Terminal. Develop auto finance programs to support vehicle sales and identify financially distressed suppliers including analysis of supplier, market, and country financial and technological limitations. Manage other finance and treasury activities such as cash management, supplier risk management, financial analysis, and valuation. Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, rating agencies, and research analysts to ensure access to necessary financial services and information. Develop talent / optimize team performance through stretch assignments, leadership exposure, career discussions, feedback, etc. Lead a team of direct reports, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to achieve departmental objectives. Assist team in prioritization of workload, creating a picture to influence decision-making, facilitate collaboration across staffs, think through key analysis assumptions. Lead by example displaying GM behaviors, commitment to personal development and commitment to creating a positive Workplace of Choice culture. Assist team with understanding the bigger picture and how projects relate to operational strategy / Enterprise goals. Anticipate partner needs (proactive vs. reactive). Lead special projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization. Review the reports and charts for management and present to GM leadership team on a timely basis for effective decision making. Partner with business partners and cross-functional teams to collaborate on metrics, goals, variance analysis and business reviews. Collaborate closely with managing directors and finance leaders to deliver strategic operational plans, capital investment and related funding plans that drive overall revenue and profit growth in line with senior leader expectations. Assure financial health of GM product development operations and/or supplier manufacturing risk management, applying principles of Technology evaluation, financial valuation, and financial analysis. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address.                                                                                                                                   

Additional Job Description

Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics, and five (5) years of experience in a job offered or related business or finance position.  Experience must include: Risk Management; Financial Management; Leadership and Team Management; and Technology Adaptability.
