Job Description

Plan, design, and automate financial data collection and reporting of financial disclosures (including Financial Statements and Notes) included in General Motors Company (GM) U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings of Form 10-K (Annual Report Pursuant to Section 13 or 15(d) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934) and Form 10-Q (Quarterly Report Pursuant to Section 13 or 15(d) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934), internal monitoring and reporting process, and quarterly accounting review presentation materials, using Workiva Wdesk cloud-based connected and reporting compliance platform. Analyze SEC disclosures including Notes to Consolidated Financial Statements such as Debt, Pensions and Other Postretirement Benefits, Restructuring and Other Initiatives and Management Discussion & Analysis, and recommend improvements and automation of internal reporting process. Supervise and mentor 1 Senior Analyst (possessing a bachelor's degree in accounting). Review U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) guidance on complex accounting issues including application of ASU 2014-09 "Revenue from Contracts with Customers", as incorporated and ensure disclosure requirements are met regarding all newly issued Accounting Standard Updates. & Analysis, or related.                                                                                                                                   

Additional Job Description

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related. Twelve months' experience as Accounting Manager, Controller, or related. Must also have experience with reviewing, and issuing Financial Statements including Notes on Debt, Pensions and Other Postretirement Benefits, Restructuring and Other Initiatives and Management Discussion & Analysis
