You will be part of Altera Programmable Software and Solutions (PSaS) DevOps Team (also known as SPES), and responsible for software product validation activities including test development, test debugging, infrastructure enabling and maintaining the software release quality. Your specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Developing tests focused on end-to-end testing, installation, and environment set-up to ensure the product release meets the quality release requirements

• Analysis of test results, debugging failures, defect reporting, and resolution

• Developing automation scripts to improve the quality and efficiency of our validation cycles

• Maintenance of test infrastructure and machine configurations

• Work directly with the Development team on product specifications

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field

• Experience in Software/firmware verification/validation, software question assurance, requirements and process

• Proficient in Python and other scripting language such as TCL, shell and batch scripts

• Experience in working with OSes such as Windows/Linux

• Knowledge on FPGA, Verilog / VHDL and logic electronics will be an added advantage

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, promote innovation and teamwork. Self-motivated and excel in a team environment

• Demonstrates fundamental values such as accountability, integrity, a winning mindset and is highly motivated to learn and adapt in fast-changing environments

• Solid experience in using or testing compiler, IDE or EDA tools

 

In addition to these skills, able to demonstrate one or more of the following:

• Experience in UI test automation with Selenium / Katalon

• Able to articulate the differences between Selenium and Katalon

• Familiar with automating manual test cases and creating new test cases

• Understand the needs of regression, without a release note, new changes may be desired or undesired (defect)

• Understand the difficulties of testing desktop UI as compared to web UI
