What you will do-
Develop and implement the company's order processing functions including any of the following activities: order prioritization, order selection / picking, order audit / inspection, order confirmation processing, labor planning and scheduling controls, and metric performance reporting. Approve personnel requests related to vacation, sick time, and shift schedule modifications. Responsible for planning, reviewing, and developing distribution procedures and training personnel. May coordinate activities with other distribution shift supervisors to ensure the accomplishment of overall distribution goals and objectives.
- Create/implement best practices to meet/exceed business goals and standards
- Prepare and deliver daily/weekly/monthly operations review scorecards for the executive review
- Develop and maintain inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future operational needs, including maintenance and record keeping of all shipments and transactions while ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures
- Analyze, investigate and correct daily inventory discrepancies and costs as they affect facility KPI’s and effectively communicate results to leadership and appropriate team members
- Lead the company’s annual physical inventory process (when necessary).
- Conduct needs analysis, determine headcount specifications, identify solutions, and implement recommendations
- Maintain ERP computer systems that functionally support all areas of warehouse operations
- Develop cross training plans for warehouse team members
- Contribute to managing the department budget through labor efficiency, cycle count accuracy, and supplies management.
- Support customer service and corporate requirements for present and future warehousing needs
- Continually evaluate effectiveness of business systems and recommend changes where appropriate
- Troubleshoot and correct all warehouse operating systems problems
- Performance management, timecard approval and personnel development.
- Lead local projects focused on continuous improvement
- Supervise the receiving and storing of materials, components, equipment and supplies
- Ensure distribution / warehouse compliance with FDA procedures
- Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of distribution area personnel
- Ensure required training is completed by distribution area personnel in accordance with training schedules
- Ensure all month end activities are completed
What you need-
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of equivalent experience will be considered
- Four (4) years of work experience - required
- Prior supervisor experience - required
- ERP/WMS experience - preferred
- Ability to understand the details of the cycle count and inventory locations in JDE
- One (1) – Two (2) years’ experience with Medical Devices - preferred
- One (1) – Two (2) years’ experience with Analytical tools and calculations - preferred
